Me

You know what drives me crazy? Sites that resize your browser window to be either really big or really small. I know you can turn this off in Firefox, but it usually catches me once before I remember to.

I mean, really. It’s ridiculous. Isn’t it time we kicked the Javascript crack pipe? Especially considering how kludgy AJAX is? We need a client-side scripting language designed from the ground-up with requests and not annoying the user in mind. And while we’re at it, let’s add better support for licenses so (for example) free scripts can be easily idenTified and their licensing terms made clear while maybe proprietary scripts can pop up a “By running this script you pledge to give the author your first-born. OK to run this?” message or something.

hmm, from the ground up sounds like a good idea. i don’t like the idea of a script based on Java being the client-side de-facto. maybe a new one called DOMScript or something would be better, yah? i would be up for adopting it! i wish i had time/inclination/capability to develop it.
