Thursday IE8 is released. At some point later it will be pushed down to all XP and Vista machines. This is the “Microsoft breaks the internet by being standards compliant” deal you may have heard about. Soon my friends. Soon we will not have to code for crappy crappy IE6 and IE7… 2 replies

Supposedly IE8 is supposed to be pretty standards-compliant having passed the Acid2 Test, or at least coming close which is something the previous IE’s haven’t even come close to. Additionally, I believe there are now microsoft-specific doc-type tags you can put on your site to say “no dammit. Render right.” and it will. Presumably… |
