Supposedly IE8 is supposed to be pretty standards-compliant having passed the Acid2 Test, or at least coming close which is something the previous IE’s haven’t even come close to. Additionally, I believe there are now microsoft-specific doc-type tags you can put on your site to say “no dammit. Render right.” and it will. Presumably…
