A friend of mine just introduced me to the show Kingdom starring Stephen Fry and it is very good in a detailed but not very deep show.

It is about a Lawyer named Kingdom in a rural costal part of England that has both rich and poor and a well preserved historical look about the town. As the show starts he has just recieved the effects of his brother found on the shore of his favourite beach and it is assumed he just walked in and drown, but no body has been found. Meanwhile his long institutionalized sister has checked herself out of the institution she was last at and has moved into his home/office where he used to work with his brother.

Add to that his impulsive young underachieving law clerk, his very competant secretary that seems to have a very very close attacment to him, his terrier millie.

That and a strange and smelly man who keeps sueing the city council to keep them from changing anything (18 times) and 2 brothers waiting for the estate of their 59 year old mother who died while celebrating her last day before turning 60 in a jaccuzi with a bottle of champagne and a male escort in his late 20’s. Thats just the start of the first episode…
